Our trip to Brazil

We had to cross the Madre de Dios river in order to drive to Brazil.
Joseph was pretty exhausted most of the trip. It's a very nice road. Most of it is paved. We surveyed the communities on the way to Brazil. We wanted to know name, population, churches and if there was a gospel interest. We got some good information.
We ate some piranha for lunch. Joseph gnawed on his first plantain banana.
This is the bridge that connects Peru to Brazil. The Brazilian check point we didn´t get to cross. We visited a small Brazilian town right before the check point. This was a small mechanic shop. We thought it interesting that they call it "Drunkness".
Although all the Brazilians we met in this town were tall their phone booths were extremely short.

Description: We were hoping to do a little surveying of the communities on the way to Brazil and then take a short family vacation in Brazil. Unfortunately, "they" did not allow us to go into Brazil. The way the federal police officer explained it was that since Brazilians need a visa to enter US they return the favor to US citizens and require a visa. He said that Joseph was allowed to go with Magnita. Ha ha nice joke. Well, we will have to plan another little get away some other time.
